The Contract will run through the 2028 Season
Albuquerque, NM – Today New Mexico United announced they have agreed to a contract extension with head coach Dennis Sanchez. This deal will run through the end of the 2028 season.
“La Familia I am so excited to continue on with you guys,” said Sanchez, “I have felt the love since day one and it’s truly an honor to be a steward in this community and represent our club. I have nothing but love for you guys and appreciate everything you give for us and all we want to do is reciprocate what we do for you guys and give everything. We are going to lift a trophy this year lets do it together”
“I am beyond excited to have Dennis continue with our club for the foreseeable future.” Sporting Director Itamar Keinan stated, “In the time since he joined, he showed what a great coach he is, not only by leading the group to a conference final but also by creating a great environment for our players and a winning culture.”

Since joining New Mexico United in 2025 Sanchez has won 33 matches and led New Mexico United to their first Conference Final in club history. Sanchez’s 33 wins is the second most in team history behind Troy Lesesne who won 36 matches in his time with the Black and Yellow.
