(March 15, 2021) Albuquerque, NM – New Mexico United midfielder Micheal Azira has earned a call-up to join the Uganda National Football Team, as they compete in the Total Africa Cup of Nations this month. Azira will be with the team as they take on Burkina Faso on March 24th, and Malawi on March 29th.
Azira has previously played in 12 international matches representing his home nation, including matches in the African Cup of Nations, Cup of Nations qualifiers, the African Cup and International Friendlies.
