New Mexico United is thrilled to announce that the club has named Ron Patel the second President in the history of the club. Patel, the first employee ever hired ahead of the team’s inaugural season, takes the reins from Peter Trevisani, who will continue to serve as both United’s CEO and Majority Owner.
“New Mexico United is so much more than a soccer team,” said Patel. “We are a community of thousands of New Mexicans committed to making our state a better place, bringing people together, and showing the world what we’re made of. It’s an unbelievable honor and privilege to be able to lead the club of my heart into the next chapter.”
Prior to his tenure with New Mexico United, Patel was the President and Co-Founder of the USL League Two club, the Albuquerque Sol. He also served as President of RGV FC Toros and Golden Grape Entertainment in 2020-2021, leading a team of 100 employees across multiple stadia and areas of focus.
As Chief Revenue Officer with New Mexico United, Patel has led the transformation of the Merchandise, Ticketing, and Corporate Partnerships departments. New Mexico United routinely leads the way nationally, thanks in large part to the efforts of Patel and his teams.
New Mexico United also today named Clint Gray and David Wiese-Carl as Vice-Presidents. Gray will serve as Vice-President of Business Development and Facilities. Wiese-Carl will serve as Vice President of Media and Impact.
