Brooklyn, New York-born, Herbert joined United prior to the 2024 season.
In his first year with New Mexico, Herbert was among the team leaders in clearances (64), blocks (15), and interceptions (19) in USL Championship play. Herbert scored his first goal in Black & Yellow in the Round of 16 of the 2024 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, an 86th-minute header to put an exclamation point on a 0-3 victory over NYCFC II.
Prior to joining New Mexico United, Herbert spent two seasons with FC Haka in Finland. He is a Trinidad international, with two youth appearances and one senior cap.
