(June 15, 2021) Albuquerque, NM – New Mexico United, the Somos Unidos Foundation, and Western Sky Community Care are excited to announce new incentives for New Mexicans who get vaccinations at New Mexico United matches, beginning with tomorrow night’s match vs San Antonio FC at Rio Grande Credit Union Field at Isotopes Park. Western Sky has purchased an entire section of tickets to the match, and will donate those tickets to any company who wants to give them to employees to get vaccinated at the United match. In addition, anyone who receives their vaccination at a United match will receive both their $100 incentive (upon full vaccination – Second dose of Pfizer/Moderna or first dose of Johnson & Johnson) from the State of New Mexico, and a $25 gift card for New Mexico United merchandise.
"Company leadership influences many facets of employees' lives,” said Somos Unidos Foundation Executive Director Chanel Wiese. “We are grateful to Western Sky Community Care for helping us offer the opportunity to channel that influence into something positive and fun – turning a night off into a way to contribute to public health and economic recovery at a New Mexico United match."
So far, New Mexico United, Western Sky Community Care and the New Mexico Department of Health have worked together to offer hundreds of COVID-19 vaccines to New Mexicans. Programs have included vaccination stations at tailgates, as well as ticket giveaways for newly-vaccinated New Mexicans.
